Antigua Dance (x Talyla)

A true "Queen of the Nile", Antigua as a young mare would have competed in the show ring quite successfully. Instead, her owner and breeder Janice Bush decided to concentrate on her breeding career which would have been complete with only her second son Marquis I. But Antigua did not stop there. She produced a full brother to Marquis, named Calypso Dance that went on to become a Champion Stallion as well and a sire of the National winning stallion Ali Calypso KMF. A switch to Raquin RA produced Simply Seductive, a Regional, Event and Scottsdale winner prior to her injury. Following tradtion she then produced Dance Diva who also went Champion at the Egyptian Event. Antigua's granddam, Talya was leased from Jim Kline by Lee Romney owner of Somerset Farms. Janice credits Talya with inspiring her to breed and work with Egyptian horses after many years importing and breeding Polish Arabians.

Antigua in her day was on of the most beautiful Arabian mares to behold...... long legs, gorgeous face and eye and long neck. But it is her lighthearted and playful personality that stands out the most! And her children all possess that trait! Always with her tail high in the air - Antigua snorts and blows her way through life! Just look at the photo of Antigua and then the one of her granddaughter Quintessa!! Unfortunately, Antigua now suffers from Cushings disease and despite many efforts has lost the last two foals...... so now she will be an embryo transfer donor while she lives a retirement fit for the royalty that she is! Antigua is blind in one eye and that causes some of the photos to look a bit funny - she truly has huge, dark expressive eyes and we invite you to come visit her in person while this queen is still gracing our lives!

KA Sultan Sherifa (x Diyaa)

Sherifa was a bundle of joy and Kehilan's first straight Egyptian filly! We had purchased Diyaa a daughter of the legend - *Sultann on the advice of Janice Bush at the time with Somerset Farms. Diyaa was in foal to Ruminaja Bahjat (a Somerset stallion as was *Sultann) and delivered Sherifa to a delighted family! We actually sold interest in Sherifa at 4 months of age for 1/3 of her dam's purchase price. Pretty exciting for us newcomers! Unfortunately, after delivering her first foal and in the middle of the second foal pregnancy Sherifa was diagnosed with cancer. We purchased her back to care for her and she lived a long and comfortable life her at Kehilan until December 2004. Sadly though she was unable to ever produce offspring again. We will miss her impish personality and Arabian spirit.

Classic beauty and flawless pedigree. This royal lady possesses an "in your tent" disposition! Dark eyes and an elegant frame complete the picture. Madonah traces in tail female to the full sister to Shaikh al Badi - Nafairtiti - a daughter of the grand show mare *Bint Maisa El Saghira.

Unfortunately, Madonah also has Cushings disease and now is the time to visit this lovely old lady. Her gorgeous daughter Valentine is expecting her first foal in 2006 by Donatello KA for Mary Ellen Chavez in Los Lunas, NM!

When the opportunity arose to purchase a full sister to Antigua Dance we jumped at the chance. Unfortunately, due to an injury delivering her first foal Sefra has not been able to produce for us. We are working with an advanced ET center this year in hopes of finally producing a foal from this gorgeous mare. Like her illustrious big sister, Sefra is of undeniable Arabian type. Not quite as tall and a more compact mare - Sefra is a bit more exotic even than Antigua in her head type. Huge eyes and an extreme dish and a snow white coat make her look like a painting come to life! The same flawless pedigree as Antigua make her a valuable asset should we be able to succeed!

Oh my what a pedigree... with some of the most successful Straight Egyptian horses of yesteryear. This darling little mare with the pretty face and dazzling blonde mane and tail has proven to be a terrific producer even though she had a late start. She has a stallion standing in CA and gorgeous daughters to her credit! Tracing in tail female to the National Champion Mare Serenity Sonbolah she represents a very famous female line. Interestingly, prior to "Bo" coming to live with us we also were the residence for her granddam - SF Bint Sonbolah who was bred at Somerset Farms under the management of Janice Bush (as was her dam). Currently on lease to Ann Reichel of Sequin, TX - "Bo" has just produced a gorgeous filly by Sundance KA for Ann.
